I was talking to O yesterday, and it occurred to me that we’re waiting for a giant crash of dominoes to start falling right now. Dominoes that we’ve been stacking up for about six months now.

The first domino is Póstumo. We’re hoping to get the final production bill for Póstumo this week. While we have estimates, we don’t know how much will be left in our bank account afterwards. There’s two shows we’re waiting to sign the checks on as soon as we know if we can.

Then there’s the Katsucon domino. Sadly, it looks like we’re not debuting Póstumo there, but O and I have scads of awesome art, Scurvy Dogs and Monster Alphabet to sell. Plus a new bit of merchandise, which officially launches on Monday. But Katsucon is basically our only other major revenue source for the next couple months. So when that finishes up, we’ll have a couple more convention checks to write out.

And finally, there’s the time issue. Five of our best shows from 2012 still don’t have the ability to sign up for space at them, even if we could write the check or sign the contract immediately. We want to return to all five of these shows, with O going to at least one of them. O’s travel schedule is a muddled mess right now, as there’s a three-week block of shows where O can only be at two.

So what do we know?

We know that O and I are both going to be at Katsucon, and that is only THREE WEEKS AWAY. Get your tickets and let us know you’re coming.

Our other official shows are WonderCon and GenCon. WonderCon is a new show for the Scallywags, and we’ve got another brand-new (for us) show, albeit in a convention center that I was in last year. So there’ll be some familiarity there.

11 pm – Guests Uncensored (O and Dern)

Sunday, February 17
1 pm – Making Things the Scallywags Way (O and/or Dern)

(We’ll also be at the Scallywags International table, which is open noon-10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday)
