This is our “Pardon our dust” post, which means I’ll probably forget it’s here and leave it on the cover of Hello With Cheese way too long.

I finally tracked down the corrupted part of the Dernwerks database that was causing site-wide crashes every time I tried to upgrade things. But in removing the malignant code, I may have completely wiped out the databases around it. I’ve recovered a lot of it, but there’s some things that are gone for good. Sadly, your comments from the past year and a half, along with most of my blog posts from that time.

I’ll cut and paste as much as I can from Google Reader files to replace the blog posts, but it’s not going to be a huge priority over the next few weeks. We’ve got a few major things we’re working on (including a site and store redesign), so moving forward is very important to us right now.

I’ll keep y’all posted on further breaks and fixes. And I apologize in advance if I overload your RSS readers with a ton of new posts.

Heyo Scallywags, we’ve been rather oddly not on the road lately, so it’s time to fix this. Here’s the first three shows we’re confirmed at for 2013:

Magfest (Jan. 3-6, National Harbor, MD) – Dern Only – The Scallywags booth will start the year in dealer room of Magfest, featuring copies of Scurvy Dogs, Monster Alphabet, posters, prints, and maybe something extra. Dern will also be running demos of Scurvy Dogs at the booth.

Katsucon (Feb. 15-17, National Harbor, MD) – O AND DERN – REPEAT – O AND DERN – We’re double-scallywaging this show, ladies and gentlemen and others. This is O’s first-ever convention in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area. We’ll be doing a slew of panels and spending as many hours as we can entertaining you from our booth. This is less than two months from now, so you’ve been warned.

WonderCon (March 29-31, Anaheim, CA) – Dern Only – We don’t have our 2013 schedule completely set just yet, but right now this might be our only California show this year. We’re in talks with a couple other shows, but with the calendar tightening up this is the only one that’s locked down on for west-coast appearances.

So, any other shows you guys hope to see us at in 2013? Dern will cryptically answer any and all questions and suggestions. Or laugh at you. Whichever.
